Living in the Greek House

Christopher Newport University is known for having some of the best residences for students on the East Coast. Last year, I lived in Potomac River North and had a huge common room that connected two bedrooms, along with a bathroom. It was absolutely fantastic. Now, I have moved into the Psi Upsilon Greek house in CNU Crossing. I can’t believe it, but living in the Greek house is even better than my living situation last year!

The house is set up as four different apartments all in the same building block. Each apartment has its own kitchen and bathroom, as well as two bedrooms and a very large living space. There’s tons of room to move around in and it feels very comfortable and homey. Though, the best part about living in the greek house is having eight of my brothers right across the hall from me.

Every night, we’re always hanging out and enjoying one another’s company. We play video games, cook together, listen to music, and sometimes just sit and chat. We were close before, but now we’ve bonded even more as a result of hanging out so much. We have lots of visitors too, which, as an extrovert, I love. There’s tons of people always stopping by to say hello.

I’ve already made so many memories in this house, and it’s a shame I’ll only be living here for one year. Though, I’m not taking any moment for granted! Next year, I’ll have the opportunity to live in the upperclassmen dorms which are all single bedrooms with individual bathrooms, kitchen and common area. I can’t wait!
