Waiting in Line

Waiting in line is a rather unpleasant experience, and it’s hard to avoid. Just like anywhere else, it’s a part of everyday life at Christopher Newport. Although we’re a small school, lines still form and things still get backed up. Though, the things you will be waiting in line for are well worth the wait and here a few examples:

  1. The newly renovated Mongolian grill: This is the most recent addition to the Regattas dining hall, and it’s a delicious one. With your choice of meat, vegetable/fruit, noodles, spice and sauce you can create your very own bowl of delicious Mongolian-style food. The food is cooked right in front of you, and it’s a sight to behold. The line can be pretty long, but you’ll do your taste buds a favor by waiting for it.
  2. Ferguson Center ticket office: The Ferguson Box Office can sometimes hold a pretty long line. Students get free tickets to every Department of Theater and Dance production. So, of course, plenty of students take advantage of this. The productions at Christopher Newport are top-notch, and you won’t regret spending a part of your day waiting in line in order to see one.
  3. The mailroom: You’ll be happy to learn that the Mailroom processes packages and letters rather speedily. For the most part, the day a piece of mail arrives is the day you’ll be notified that it arrived. Bigger schools can’t offer this speed because of the sheer amount of packages received on a daily basis. You might have to wait in line for a few minutes to get your package, but it’s totally worth it!

Christopher Newport has so many opportunities for its students, and so many of us are chomping at the bit to get in line for them. The student body here is passionate and eager, so come be a part of it! Even the most mundane moments of your day, like waiting in line, will always be worth your wait.
